Australia Post’s $5.6 million-a-year boss ‘honoured’ to receive his AO medal – after slashing jobs, raising stamp prices and cutting mail runs

Australia Post’s controversial chief executive Ahmed Fahour has received an Order of Australia only months before he leaves his $5.6 million job.

The government postal service boss has tweeted about his latest honour, which comes after an outcry about his salary caused him to step down in July.

‘It’s a wonderful honour to receive an AO medal today from the Victorian Governor on behalf of the GG,’ he said.
