MINISTERS have given the green light to a British Grand Prix on the streets of London to promote Brexit Britain around the world.
A change in the law means that from Monday motorsports will be allowed to take place on public roads across England for the first time.
Former World Champion Nigel Mansell hailed the “great move forward for the sport and will bring visitors and pride” to Britain.
The move delighted campaigners who have led a seven year battle for the “seismic shift”.
And it paved the way for a £100 million F1 bonanza for the British economy within a year.
Last night Transport Minister Andrew Jones declared a F1 race “with the backdrop of London” would be “spectacular” and a great advert for post-Brexit Britain…
