As speculation mounts over her ever closer relationship with Prince Harry, Meghan Markle has , The Tig, in a sign the actress may be ready to focus on a royal role.

Meghan, 35, started the blog three years ago but yesterday announced she is shutting it, with a farewell message to her followers.

She said: ‘After close to three beautiful years on this adventure with you, it’s time to say goodbye to The Tig. What began as a passion project . . . evolved into an amazing community of inspiration, support, fun and frivolity. You’ve made my days brighter and filled this experience with so much joy.

‘Keep finding those Tig moments of discovery, keep laughing and taking risks, and keep being “the change you wish to see in the world.” ’

She added: ‘Above all, don’t ever forget your worth. As I’ve told you time and time again: you, my sweet friend, you are enough.’

Ahead of her 2010 engagement to Prince William, Kate Middleton gave up her job as an accessories buyer for Jigsaw, earning her the nickname ‘Waity Katie’.

But Harry, 32, is said to be so enamoured by Meghan that she won’t have to wait as long as Kate for a ring on her finger…
