Three Bandidos shot outside Vic clubhouse

Three Bandidos shot outside Vic clubhouse

What motivated the shooting of three men outside a Bandidos clubhouse in Melbourne’s north on Friday night is unclear but it was targeted, police believe.

The injured men are in hospital with non-life-threatening injuries to their legs after at least five shots were pumped into them as they walked along Weston Street in Brunswick about 11pm.

A white car with several people inside sped from the scene.

Police on Saturday seized several items including CCTV footage and one of the victim’s clothing during a search of the premises but they’re yet to find a motive for the shooting.

“It’s too early to say (if it’s another bikie gang),” Detective Senior Sergeant Nicholas Allwood told reporters.

The three victims – aged 26, 43 and 54 – are known to police and are either associates or members of the Bandidos.

“The victims haven’t given us their full co-operation – that’s one of the issues we face in terms of these investigations,” Sen Sgt Allwood said.

“We don’t like any type of shooting but the community can be reassured to a degree that this was a targeted shooting.”
