Jack Warner fuels tension between female stars on ‘Feud’ Bette And Joan.

Bette Davis and Joan Crawford were manipulated by studio bosses who pit the aging stars against each other during Sunday’s episode of Feud: Bette And Joan.

Studio boss Jack Warner, played by Stanley Tucci, was so thrilled at the on-set hatred of the women that he encouraged director Robert Aldrich to leak gossip to the press and play the Hollywood legends off against each other.

‘The more that they despise each other, the more that each one tries to crush the other one the better they get,’ Warner told him as he urged Aldrich, played by Alfred Molina, to ramp up the hatred between the stars.
