RIP Tony Haygarth: Emmerdale and Chicken Run star dies

The beloved British actor died ‘peacefully’ aged 72 surrounded by family. Tributes have been paid to the actor who brightened many lives.

Mr Haygarth was also widely recognised for his role as Mick Naylor in Emmerdale which he played in 2008 and 2009.

Mr Haygarth built a 45-year acting career, appearing in more than 30 films, on popular TV shows, in major stage productions and in the award-winning animation Chicken Run in 2000

He was nominated for the Olivier Theatre Award in 1997 for his performance in Twelve Angry Men.
