Several people have been injured in a shooting at a French school, sources have said.
A heavily-armed gunman is understood to have opened fire at a high school in Grasse, near Cannes in South-East France.
The school is the Alexis de Tocqueville and the headteacher is said to be among those wounded in the attack at around 1pm.
The French government issued a warning of a terrorist attack in the wake of the attack after the man in possession of several weapons fired at the headteacher, according to BFMTV learns.
Anti-terror police swarmed the school and arrived to warn neighbours to say indoors.
