Seattle gas pump on fire after being hit by Uber

An Uber driver in an SUV went out of control in Seattle Monday night and crashed into a Shell Station gas pump, sending an orange fireball into the air. Driver and passenger survived.

Witnesses said the SUV went airborne, through a parking lot, and then plowed into the Shell Station on Holman and 4th Avenue, missed two pumps and then hit the third, according to KOMO.

Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the fire.

The passenger and driver survived and were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The driver’s blood sample was obtained at the hospital after a warrant was issued, said the outlet.
