Ed Sheeran will guest star on Game Of Thrones season 7

Benioff was on a panel Sunday with fellow showrunner Dan Weiss and GOT stars Maisie Williams and Sophie Turner.

Fans of Game Of Thrones learned Sunday just how fast the clock is ticking in the countdown to the end of the hit HBO series.

Following the seventh season this summer, which has just seven episodes instead of the usual 10, showrunner David Benioff confirmed that the eighth and final season will only have six episodes.

He also revealed, during an appearance at the South by Southwest festival in Austin, Texas, that Ed Sheeran is set to make a cameo in the upcoming season that premieres on July 16.
