Traffic chaos as car catches fire on Sydney Harbour Bridge

A car has caught fire on the Sydney Harbour Bridge and caused traffic chaos during peak hour on Wednesday morning, with four lanes affected.

Southbound lanes and northbound lanes were affected as the incident unfolded on Wednesday morning.

Fire and Rescue NSW said the car engine fire had been extinguished shortly before 9am, as cars continued to bank up along the bridge.
