#F1 Max Verstappen’s father arrested after fight

Dutch police confirmed that former Benneton and Minardi driver Jos Verstappen, father of Max, had been arrested after refusing to leave in the wake of a fight in Holland on Sunday.

De Limburger newspaper said that Jos suffered facial injuries in the fight, with nightclub staff in Roermond ordering those involved in the fight to leave.

Meanwhile, Dutch broadcaster 1Limburg quoted a police spokesman as saying: ‘A man with significant injuries refused.’

Following the brawl, Dutch paper Algemeen Dagblad, quoted Jos’ lawyer as saying that he was the one who had been attacked.
