#Perth: car crashes through barrier Mitchell Freeway, Reid Highway onto train tracks

A CAR has ploughed through a barrier along Mitchell Freeway on to train tracks causing major traffic delays in the area.

A white sedan crashed through the barrier around 2.30pm on Wednesday just south of the Reid Highway exit.

Firefighters and police are at the scene, which is in the southbound lanes.

The crash comes after Main Roads issued a warning about excess water on the road at the Reid Highway entry.

It also comes just hours after traffic crawled through Perth due to a crash at the Mounts Bay Road exit.
