Nine injured after balcony collapse at Brisbane party

Nine people are being treated for non-life threatening injuries after a second-floor balcony collapsed during a house party in Brisbane.

Authorities were called to the property on Highland Terrace, St Lucia, where police say a small rear deck gave way while people were dancing on it just before 7.30pm on Saturday.

The injured have been treated for suspected broken bones and other minor injuries, but are all in a stable condition, an ambulance spokesman said.
