Northern NSW bearing brunt of ex-Cyclone Debbie as Queensland faces massive clean-up effort

Tens of thousands of people are evacuated from towns in northern NSW and south-east Queensland as flooding from ex-Cyclone Debbie continues. Follow live.

  • Major flood warnings are in place for the Tweed and Wilsons Rivers in NSW and the Logan, Albert and Bremer Rivers in Queensland
  • Flood evacuation orders have been issued for: parts of the Gold Coast, Murwillumbah, South Murwillumbah, Condong, Tumbulgum, Tweed Heads, Tweed Heads South and West, Kingscliff, Chindera, Fingal Head, Bilambil, Lismore CBD, North and South Lismore, Kyogle, Ocean Shores, and Billinudgel
  • Flood evacuation warnings are current for: Rocky Creek Dam, Callide Dam, Kroombit Dam and (Banana Shire)
  • Emergency alerts have been issued for: Tallebudgera Valley, Beaudesert, ​Jambin (north of Biloela)
  • For storm and flood assistance contact the SES on 132 500. For life-threatening emergencies, call triple-0.
