Motorists ignore warnings not to drive through Cyclone Debbie floodwaters – with predictable results…

Truck, van and car drivers have all found themselves submerged in floodwater after daring to take to the roads in the aftermath of the storm in Gold Coast in Brisbane.

Motorists in Gold Coast and Brisbane, who were pounded by the storm on Wednesday and through to Thursday, were seen struggling to make it through the water, with some cars completely covered.

Cars parked outside Robina Hospital were also seen being swept away by the floodwater as the Mudgeeraba Creek burst its banks…
