A Current Affair’s Willoughby offices raided by police

Police have raided Channel Nine’s A Current Affair offices and staffers have been asked to vacate the premises over a ‘personal matter’.

As many as eight police entered the A Current Affair offices in Willoughby, in Sydney’s north, at around 9:45am on Thursday.

Officers seized items from executive producer Grant Williams’ office and ordered staff to vacate nearby offices.

It is unclear what police were looking for.

Mr Williams is a former police detective from Seaforth on Sydney’s Northern Beaches and is believed to be overseas in Kuwait for a business trip.

‘I would be the only bloke in TV who has charged someone with murder,’ he has said previously.

Known as ‘Grunter’, Mr Williams spent more than a decade in the police force before was involved in the production of ’90s TV drama Water Rats…
