Two hundred firefighters and 40 fire engines are battling a large fire on a west London estate.
At least two people have been injured and flats at the 27-storey Grenfell Tower evacuated.
Footage on social media showed the building engulfed in fire, with flames stretching over a number of floors.
The tower block is on the Lancaster West Estate, near Notting Hall.
‘At this stage we are aware of two people being treated at the scene for smoke inhalation,’ local police said.
George Clarke, who presents Channel 4 show Amazing Spaces, told Radio 5 Live: ‘I’m 100 metres away and I’m absolutely covered in ash.
‘It’s so heartbreaking, I’ve seen someone flashing their torches at the top level and they obviously can’t get out.
