Protesters place 800 dead ducks on Melbourne premier’s office

Anti-duck shooting protesters put on a grisly display after they placed 800 dead birds outside of the Melbourne to mark the start of the hunting season – its 31st annual protest.

The Coalition Against Duck Shooting (CADS) placed the bird carcasses on Treasury Place outside of Daniel Andrews’ office as a stand against the ‘massacre’ hunting season.

Birds including rare freckled ducks and blue bills were recovered from hunting grounds and the grisly haul was laid on the ground as a silent protest against the sport.
