Authorities claim the man put his hand under the 11-year-old girl’s skirt and grabbed her buttock while she was walking along Collins Street with her family.
The girl’s mother took a number of pictures of the offender before reporting it to police after her daughter alerted her to what had happened.
Detectives have since released the image above, and are urging anyone with information to contact police.
