Bill Cosby mistrial: Alternate juror slams result. Result is ‘ridiculously sick’

ONE of the six alternates in Bill Cosby’s sex assault trial said on Monday that he would’ve voted to convict the funnyman — and that the result of a mistrial left him “ridiculously sick.”

“I would have probably voted to convict,” Mike McCloskey, 43, told Pittsburgh radio station WDVE-FM Monday morning, according to TribLive.com.

He said one of the most damning pieces of evidence against the man once known as “America’s Dad” was the phone call between him and accuser Andrea Constand’s mum, Gianna.

In it, Cosby referred to Gianna as “mum” as he recalled in graphic detail that he gave her daughter, then 31, an orgasm.

“It was ridiculously creepy,” McCloskey said on the radio station, according to Philly.com.

Of Gianna’s chilling testimony, he added that he “wanted to get up and clap.”

He sympathised with Constand, who also took the stand during the six-day trial.

“She’s just looking for justice I believe, so it’s really sad for her,” McCloskey said.

McCloskey and the five other alternates did not participate in the 52 hours of deliberations that eventually left the 12-person jury hung and were kept separate from the panel.

“I was ridiculously sick,” McCloskey said about the mistrial. “We didn’t even get a decision so that made me more sick.”

He said the jurors were completely mum on what caused the mistrial on the bus ride back to the hotel near the Norristown courthouse.

“It was complete silence,” he said. “It was the craziest, eeriest bus ride I’ve ever taken.”
