SPOILER ALERT: The final series of Broachurch aired on ITV last night and already viewers are pointing the finger at four potential suspects who could be responsible for the rape of Trish Winterman’s (Julie Hesmondhalgh).

The nail biting detective series Broadchurch returned to our sets last night and already viewers are pointing the finger.

In episode one of the third and final series, which attracted an audience of 7.5 million, detectives Alec Hardy and Ellie Miller (David Tennant and Olivia Colman) were called out to bring a woman reporting a rape to the police station.

Trish Winterman (Julie Hesmondhalgh) has been the victim of a brutal rape and it falls upon Hardy and Miller to uncover the attacker in the eight part series.
