Bus swerves, smashes into Melbourne cafe

A public bus that swerved to miss a truck in North Melbourne has smashed into the front of a corner cafe.

No one was inside the cafe on the corner of Victoria and Dryburgh streets when the bus crashed through the front door and windows, police say.

The male bus driver has been taken to hospital with minor injuries, while the four passengers on the bus were uninjured.
