LESS than a month after a sick Ashleigh Gentle won her first World Triathlon Series race of the year, then fainted, the Australian has climbed onto her fourth medal podium this season to keep alive her dream of being a world champion.
A terrible swim leg put Commonwealth Games hopeful Gentle on the back foot from the start of the world series race in Stockholm but it was her fightback to claim bronze in the race won by Bermudan Flora Duffy which turned heads.
AUSSIE WINS WORLD TITLE, AGAIN
Gentle came from almost three minutes down to race onto the podium, just weeks after she became only the fourth Australian woman to win a World Series race in Montreal when ill.
