Driver forces cars to swerve to avoid a head-on crash as he attempts to overtake truck for 4mins

THIS shocking footage shows how FOUR drivers were forced to swerve to avoid death in head-on collisions when two lorry drivers battled it out during a jaw-dropping overtaking.

Motorist Rudi Viljoen captured the heartstopping incident on his car-cam when the trucker on the right tries to overtake a fellow trucker despite it being a busy single lane road.

“They were flashing their lights and sounding their horns but the driver on the right in the Sugar Fields Logistics lorry refused to give up the overtaking and carried on driving.

As the lorry on the right painstakingly tries to inch ahead of the lorry on the left, it appears the inside lorry increases his speed to prevent the lorry on the right from overtaking.

With both giant trucks straddling both lanes of the busy N1 near Laingsburg, South Africa, and refusing to give way, oncoming motorists are faced with a horrific scenario.

As the footage shows their only option is to swerve onto the desert hard shoulder sending up clouds of dust to avoid certain death by slamming into the duelling HGV’s head-on.
