Police are hunting for a man of Middle Eastern or Mediterranean appearance after two teenagers were stabbed in a random attack at train station in Sydney‘s west.
The 17 and 18-year-olds were attacked by a man while standing at a taxi rank outside Bankstown train station at 7pm on Thursday night.
Both teens were stabbed multiple times in the chest during the violent assault.
The pair were rushed to Liverpool Hospital after being treated at the scene by intensive care paramedics.
Inspector John Brotherhood said police haven’t been able to locate the attacker or the weapon used.
‘(They) received multiple wounds from a weapon that we’re unable to locate at the present time,’ he told 9 News.
We transported them in a serious but stable condition.’
The teens described their attacker as a man of Mediterranean or Middle Eastern appearance wearing a grey Adidas-brand hoodie, black track pants, and joggers.
He may have been with three women wearing dark-coloured clothing.
