Adele is wearing a couture concert gown with 10,000 Swarovksi crystal beads on her Australian tour

IF the bugs of summer weren’t enough for Adele to endure during her first Australian tour, spare a thought for the 28-year-old singer handling the heat in her stage gown.

The English singer’s stylist may not have checked the long range forecast when commissioning the dress from Lebanese designer Zuhair Murad.

With skirts buoyed by tulle and 10,000 Swarovski crystals weighing it down, Adele admits the off-the-shoulder gown has her sweating up a storm on stage.

“The weight is going to fall off me during this tour,” she joked with the Perth crowd on opening night last week.

“My thighs are dripping. Also I’ve only got one of these dresses so it’s going to stink in a few shows.”

Adele again endearingly over-shared with her adoring audience about her summertime suffering during the opening night in Brisbane last week.

“I’m sure you can tell I’m not cut out for your weather,” she said.

“My makeup has already come off. I’m shining. Even my eyelids are sweating. I’ve never worn a dress like this. I’m basically celebrating Beauty and The Beast coming out.”

The gown reportedly took 500 hours to craft and was adapted from the design Murad unveiled on the runway of his 2015 autumn collection.

He told Billboard that Adele wanted the sleeves lengthened from the original design and hemline altered to allow the singer easy movement around the circular stage in her comfy flats.
