Fighter jets escort an Air India flight into Heathrow LONDON sparking hijack fears

An Air India was escorted across Europe into Heathrow by fighter jets after it lost contact with air traffic control.

Hungarian, German and Belgian air force pilots shadowed the plane bound to Britain from Ahmedabad in Gujarat.

It lost radio contact, sparking fears it had been hijacked, but landed safely in London this morning.
