Sean Spicer wears Stars and Stripes pin upside down – in universally recognized sign of distress

White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer wore his pride on his sleeve at the 50-day mark of the Trump administration – but wore his American flag pin upside down on his lapel.

Spicer began his daily briefing with a long monologue about the administration’s early accomplishments, which included multiple executive orders on immigration and other matters, a strong jobs report, and having ‘received a plan to defeat ISIS.’

As he spoke, reporters in the room were already taking to Twitter to mock the mistake.

‘Your pin’s upside down,’ Fox News correspondent John Roberts told him when he got the lead-off question.
