Bomb and hostage threat at QLD school

POLICE and emergency services have rushed to one of the Gold Coast’s busiest primary schools which has been the target of a bomb and hostage threat.

Parents of students at Ashmore State School received an email this morning informing them that the school and its students were the subject of a bomb and hostage threat.

“Dear parents, On the window of the lower school, graffiti has been discovered this morning and reads ‘Just letting you know I’m going to bomb this school. I am also going to take one kid hostage every day until they all disappear.’

Parents have been notified about the threat, with both police and the Education Queensland regional director brought in.”

The school is in lockdown.

More to come.
