Video: 18 ‘ISIS prisoners’ being shot in the head in copycat mass execution in Libya; CLIP

SHOCKING footage showing handcuffed “ISIS terrorists” being gunned down at point-blank rage by Libyan fighters has emerged online.

The video, which has not been verified, shows gunmen of the Libyan National Army forcing 18 jihadists to kneel in the dirt before shooting them in the back of the head.

The mass killing chillingly echoes the execution videos proudly distributed by the terror group.

The LNA, led by Khalifa Haftar, is one of many factions – including Islamic State – fighting for control in war-torn Libya.

Earlier this month The United Nations called on the LNA to investigate summary executions of prisoners.

UN human rights spokeswoman Liz Throssell said: “We are deeply concerned that, after recent fighting in Benghazi, people taken prisoner by members of the Libyan National Army, which effectively controls eastern Libya, may be at imminent risk of torture and even summary execution.”

Two weeks ago, Haftar declared the city of Benghazi’s “liberation” in a televised speech after three years of fighting.

But street battles continue as his LNA troops face resistance from the Majlis Shura Thuwar Benghazi, an alliance of ex-rebels and Islamists…
