Three men involved in the rape of a teenage friend with a glass bottle at an Australia Day party in 2015 will spend six months in jail.
Bailey Joseph Hayes-Gordon, Nicholas William Jackson, and Jacob Michael Watson — all aged 21 — pleaded not guilty on the opening day of their trial in the Brisbane District Court on Monday, but a jury was convinced otherwise and convicted the trio on Friday.
The court was told the victim became intoxicated and passed out in a downstairs bedroom after which he was rolled over. Hayes-Gordon then sexually assaulted him with the bottle while Jackson held his feet.
Watson filmed the incident.
The sexual assault of the 18-year-old was filmed and later posted on social media.
