Search for missing Melbourne woman Sophie Dowsley in Canada called off

THE SEARCH for missing 34-year-old Melbourne woman Sophie Dowsley has officially come to an end after Canadian authorities announced they would no longer continue their search.

Ms Dowsley went missing while hiking through rugged terrain in British Columbia 15 days ago.

Jamie Dowsley, Sophie’s brother, made the heartbreaking announcement on Facebook this evening.
