Melbourne Teen dies in horror crash that injured five others

A TEEN has died in a horror crash outside a Melbourne KFC.

The 18-year-old died following a crash in Melbourne’s north, in which five other people were injured.

Police are seeking witnesses to the crash, which they believe happened at an intersection on Dalton Road at Thomastown, in Melbourne’s north, about 6.30pm Tuesday.

The 18-year-old was a passenger in one of the cars and died at the scene.

Three others in the same vehicle were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while two people in the other car were also hurt.

The Herald Sun reports police were told a Holden Astra sedan was travelling north on Dalton Road when it hit a Pajero turning right into Spencer Street,

A woman in her 40s was freed from the wreckage after she was trapped by her legs for about 20 minutes. She has a suspected broken collarbone and chest injuries.

A man in his 50s suffered a suspected broken arm and bruising.

Police hope to speak with anybody who saw the Astra before the crash.
