San Antonio police have told a local court that DNA tests appear to confirm allegations Esmeralda Marie Medellin, who was employed as the child’s nanny, had sexually assaulted the boy in March this year.
Local media is reporting the police affidavit as saying the nanny was reported after the young boy told his mother when she returned home that Medellin had performed sex acts on him, and compelled him to perform acts on her.
A police officer arrived at the house before Madellin left.
While denying the allegations, the officer took DNA swabs from both the 18-year-old and the young boy.
The swabs taken from the woman have since proved inconclusive. But those taken from the child were sufficient enough to corroborate his claims, police say.
