The father of an Australian boy caught up in the recent Spanish terrorist attacks has touched down in Barcelona.
Grave fears are held for Andrew Cadman’s son Julian, who was separated from his mother during the van attack.
There has been no formal word on the condition or whereabouts of the seven-year-old Sydney boy, since the assault on Las Ramblas boulevard on Thursday (local time).
Spanish officials confirmed overnight that all those injured or killed in the attack have been located.
Mr Cadman was met by consular staff at Barcelona Airport and taken immediately to an official justice building, the place where victims of the attacks are being identified.
He then travelled to the hospital where his wife, Jumarie, is being treated for serious injuries.
Jom, as Ms Cadman is known, is doing “really well”, according to information the family has received from the hospital.
Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull said his thoughts were with the family.
“I think we should all in our quiet moments say a prayer for that little boy,” he said.
“All of us as parents know the anguish his father and his whole family is going through.”
