Dog attack: Young boy mauled by Snowy, a pet bull mastiff in #Perth

A YOUNG boy is recovering in hospital after he was mauled by a pet bull mastiff at a home in Perth.

The 12-year-old boy was attacked by Snowy, a two-year-old bull mastiff, on Sunday night.

The boy and his mother were visiting a home in Kenwick home in the city’s southeast where the attacked occurred.

Katrina Haywood told 9 NEWS how the dog attack occurred.

“The dog was asleep on my bed and my friend’s son came in and sat on the bed and must have startled him … before I knew it, he was latched on his face and I couldn’t get him off,” owner she said.

“I’m so sorry,” she said.
