Dog attack: Young boy mauled by Snowy, a pet bull mastiff in #Perth

A YOUNG boy is recovering in hospital after he was mauled by a pet bull mastiff at a home in Perth.

The 12-year-old boy was attacked by Snowy, a two-year-old bull mastiff, on Sunday night.

The boy and his mother were visiting a home in Kenwick home in the city’s southeast where the attacked occurred.

Katrina Haywood told 9 NEWS how the dog attack occurred.

“The dog was asleep on my bed and my friend’s son came in and sat on the bed and must have startled him … before I knew it, he was latched on his face and I couldn’t get him off,” owner she said.

“I’m so sorry,” she said.

Wonder Woman Just Keeps Making Money $700 million in grosses this weekend

The DC comics movie passed a huge milestone

There’s no stopping Wonder Woman.

After smashing box office records over the last month, the action film about Diana of Themyscira surpassed $700 million in worldwide grosses this weekend — and it hasn’t opened in Japan yet. It has earned $707.9 million worldwide.

 Last week, the film, directed by Patty Jenkins and starring Gal Gadot, became the highest-grossing live-action film directed by a woman.

Domestically, the film earned $15.575 million in its fifth weekend. That’s an impressive total, as it was challenged by new releases like Baby Driver and Despicable Me 3 over the holiday weekend.

And the $346.1 million the film has earned domestically in 31 days surpasses those earned by massive hits over the same respective time frame. It out-earned films like Spider-Man 3, Guardians of the Galaxy and Zootopia, according to Forbes.

Latest: Venezuela minister says chopper fired 15 shots

The Latest on a helicopter attack on Venezuela’s Supreme Court. (all times local):

Venezuelan Information Minister Ernesto Villegas says that a stolen helicopter fired 15 shots against the Interior Ministry as a reception was taking place for 80 people. It then flew a short distance to the pro-government Supreme Court and launched what he said were four Israeli-made grenades of “Colombian origin,” two of them against national guardsmen protecting the building.

Authorities said there were no injuries from Tuesday’s attack and that the area was still being surveyed for damages. Villegas said security forces were being deployed to apprehend Perez, who the government of President Nicolas Maduro accused of working under the instructions of the CIA and the U.S. Embassy in Caracas.

The helicopter incident capped a volatile 24 hours that began with widespread looting in the coastal city of Maracay on Monday night and continued Tuesday when opposition lawmakers got into a heated scuffle with security forces assigned to protect the National Assembly.

TOM Holland, the movie world’s latest Spider-Man, has a surprising confession: he hates spiders.

“I don’t like spiders, man, just because they are sneaky — they just really scare me,” he says. “They are hairy — ugh. The more I get asked this question, the more scared I get of spiders so I think I am going to try to convince myself that I am not afraid of spiders.”

And part of the 20-year-old UK actor’s fear of arachnids comes from Down Under.

“My dad’s friend lives in Australia and he says that there is a type of spider that goes into people’s cars and hides in the sun visor. Is it a huntsman spider — is that what’s that called?

“And then when you open it up while you are driving — oh my God, that would literally scare the living daylights out of me. I’d be so terrified.”
