PERTH ballerina Lauren Perrett said she is “living the dream” as a dancer at the Moulin Rouge in Paris. But it hasn’t gone without its mishaps.
The 19-year-old, who has performed more the 100 shows at the coveted cabaret house in the past two months, has had a few stumbles.
She made a memorable entrance at her stage debut when she fell as she was about to tackle the can-can.
“It was so funny because I ran on stage first, and I just slid a few metres, got up and continued kicking but I couldn’t stop laughing,” she said. “Some audience members were laughing too.”
She has also fallen during the finale of her shows, admitting: “Because we wear huge pink feather backpacks and when you kick your leg, sometimes you fall back with it.”
Perrett, pictured, recently had quite a serious fall, but maintained her sense of humour.
