NSW hid drunk players from media before Origin III, Hadley claims

BLAKE Ferguson and Josh Dugan were still so drunk the day after an alcohol-fuelled bender during NSW Blues camp before Origin II team staff hid them from the media, Ray Hadley has revealed.

Speaking on his 2GB radio morning show today Hadley shed more light on the Blues camps being in utter chaos during the series.

Hadley revealed a journalist’s car was vandalised at the team’s Kingscliff hotel during the camp before game one.

The 2GB broadcaster also stated Ferguson and Dugan went out on the drink after being named in the team for game two on Monday June 12, with neither player showing up for media commitments the next day.

Hadley’s revelations follow today’s story in the Daily Telegraph about another incident involving Dugan and Ferguson which took place during the third Origin camp where the pair spent eight hours drinking at Lennox Point Hotel on the Friday before the Origin decider.
