A TUART Hill man was the victim of a terrifying carjacking at the front of his home after he was assaulted by a gang of men.
The man told police that he had heard a noise outside his house at about midnight and saw that a car had crashed into the back of his Holden ute.
He went outside and was assaulted by three or four men, including one armed with a bladed weapon.
The victim was threatened and told to hand over his car keys, which he did and the attackers left the scene in the victim’s car.
After taking himself to hospital to receive stitches for a cut to his wrist, he called police at about 5am.
