Teen arrested after jumping from plane during landing in San Francisco

A TEENAGER has been arrested after jumping out of a plane during landing at San Francisco International Airport.

According to local media the 17-year-old passenger was arrested after he opened an emergency exit over the wing of the Copa Airlines Boeing 737 and jumped from the aircraft.

The plane, which took off in Panama City, was getting ready to taxi the runway when the boy forced open the exit.

He was tackled on the runway by airport employees and taken into police custody.

The boy, who is a US citizen, wasn’t injured.

A San Francisco International Airport spokesperson told ABC the passenger involved was detained by a construction crew working on the airfield before being handed over the police.
