Driver dead after WA highway crash near Leeman, north of Perth

A MOTORIST has been killed in a collision between two cars, possibly while attempting to make a u-turn, on a highway near Leeman, north of Perth.

The fatal crash occurred between a Holden Commodore and a Ford Territory on Indian Ocean Drive, about 10km north of Leeman, at about 1.25pm on Wednesday.

Both vehicles were travelling north when the collision occurred. Police believe the driver of the Commodore had been attempting a u-turn.

The driver of Commodore, a 49-year-old man from Innaloo, died from his injuries.

The driver and passenger in the Territory did not receive any serious injuries.
