Paddington art gallery, exclusive Sydney suburb: Three injured as taxi smashes through front

THREE people were injured after a taxi ploughed through the glass facade of an art gallery in an exclusive Sydney suburb.

The cab smashed through the front of Gallery by Toko on Oxford Street in Paddington during morning rush hour after it was hit by another car while making a U-turn, Surry Hills Local Area Command were told.

“The taxi mounted the footpath, hitting a woman who was walking past; the taxi then continued into the shop,” said NSW Police in a statement. “The woman has been treated for rib and arm injuries by NSW Ambulance paramedics; she’s been taken to St Vincent’s Hospital in a stable condition.”
