A MAN has died after he was shot by police officers after a traffic stop in Darlington, in the Perth Hills.
Police said the 29-year-old man was in the passenger side of a Ford Falcon sedan armed with a shot gun when he was stopped about 5.30pm on Thursday.
The shooting happened on Pine Terrace, with one local saying children were in the area in the minutes leading up to “five shots being fired”.
Police confirmed on Friday morning that “officers fired their weapons and the man received a number of gunshot wounds”.
They said police administered First Aid and St John Ambulance attended, but the man died at the scene.
