As world is warned of war ‘at any moment’, Trump monitors escalating North Korea situation at Mar-a-Lago

President Donald Trump is monitoring the emerging North Korea crisis from Mar-a-Lago, his luxurious country club he uses for weekend getaways – but without some of the top advisors he usually drags along.

And former Defense Secretary Leon Panetta is warning him to tread carefully.

‘The words from the administration are creating even higher volume in terms of the provocations that are going on. I think we have got to be careful here,’ Panetta told NBC News. ‘We should not engage in any precipitous action. There is a reason no U.S. president in recent history has pulled the trigger on North Korea.’

Trump flew to Mar-a-Lago late Thursday afternoon, but not before saying goodbye to Chief of Staff Reince Priebus on the tarmac at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland.
