A CAR has slammed into the side of the Australind passenger train with 140 on board.
It’s believed the driver tried to beat the train at a crossing in North Dandalup, but mistimed the attempt and crashed between the first and second carriages.
No one was injured in the crash, but some passengers were reportedly left shaken.
The train had been carrying the passengers from Bunbury to Perth when the accident happened about 4.30pm.
The impact of the crash tore off the utility’s bull-bar off, but the train was able to continue on to Perth.
