Sydney Harbour Bridge may be used for horse races by 2018

The Sydney Harbour Bridge could be transformed into Australia’s most luxurious racing turf after speculation the landmark could be used as a venue for horse races.

It would involve shutting down the busy structure and laying down a purpose-built turf for a meeting of up to six races, The Sydney Morning Herald reported.

Two English companies, City Racing and GAG 403, claim to have developed the technology to create temporary tracks and even plan to take horseracing to the streets of London too…
