Young British woman critically injured in Israel stabbing
A young British woman has been critically injured during a knife attack in Israel on Good Friday.
The woman, who is in her 20s, was attacked on a train close to the Old City, where thousands of Christians had gathered to remember Christ’s crucifixion.
Two other people, a pregnant woman in her early 30s and a man in his early 50s were also injured during the attack, Israel International News reports.

Twitter has had a dislike button for months
I realized that most of this guy’s recent tweets were pissing me off. It was a shame, really, since I admired his work and was a long-time Twitter follower. But this was just too much. I decided to mute him.
Mute lets you slink away without notice. Sure, it’s a coward’s move, but I didn’t want to alert this blowhard to my distaste with an unfollow or the far more overt block.
That’s when I noticed a different option. Under the drop-down menu available on some tweets (in iOS and Android), nestled between “Copy link to Tweet” and Unfollow [User]” is “I don’t like this tweet.”

Fast And The Furious 9 ‘will be filmed in Australia’
Cody Walker is in Australia for a series of charity events in honour of his late brother, The Fast And The Furious star Paul Walker.
And on Friday, Cody revealed to Daily Mail the ninth installment of the blockbuster film franchise series will be filmed and set Down Under.
‘The fans deserve Fast And The Furious 9 down here. It’s always somewhere new and they haven’t been here yet. It’s long overdue,’ he said.
He also confirmed Vin Diesel, who plays Dominic Toretto, is ‘very interested’ in shooting the next film in Australia.
Cody hinted that while he does not appear The Fate Of The Furious, he is meeting with Vin Diesel to discuss a possible role in the next sequel.
He filled in as Paul’s Bryan O’Conner character in Furious 7, following the actor’s death in 2013 – but Cody now hopes to play a ‘brand new role.’

NSW earthquake: Gold mine evacuated, residents in Orange woken up by shaking
A magnitude 4.3 earthquake caused a gold mine to be evacuated overnight in central western New South Wales.
A precautionary evacuation was carried out at the Cadia East Gold mine after the earthquake struck about 20 kilometres south-west of Orange at 2:30am.
Staff remained in refuge chambers or safe areas before moving to the surface about 9:30am.
Mine accesses were inspected by geotechnical engineers to ensure they were safe before staff were transferred.
There were no injuries and all staff were accounted for, police said. Production at the mine has been suspended.
Orange resident Andrew Vogler said it was a surreal experience.
“It felt as if someone was shaking the front door to get in and the windows and the whole house started to rattle,” he said.

Brisbane foam spill not to eat seafood or go fishing near Brisbane Airport
About 22,000 litres of the foam, believed to have contained perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA), was released as a result of a sprinkler system fault within the hanger on Monday night.
While about three-quarters was contained, it’s likely thousands of litres of the foam still seeped into the wider environment and caused the deaths of 20 nearby fish.
Four days after the leak, health authorities warned people to avoid eating seafood or fishing near the potentially contaminated area around the lower reaches of the Brisbane River, from Bulimba Creek to Fisherman Island, and north to Shorncliffe.
The warning coincided with Good Friday, when those of the Catholic faith generally abstain from eating meat and opt for fish instead.

Sydney teen dies after being shot in head
15-year-old boy has died in hospital after being shot in the head while lying in bed at his southwest Sydney home.
The teenager’s family was asleep on Friday morning when a man forced his way into their Glenfield home and shot the boy, in what appears to be a targeted attack, Detective Chief Inspector Mark Brett told reporters in Sydney.
The boy was in a critical condition when police arrived at the Moresby Avenue home about 6.10am on Friday and was taken to The Children’s Hospital in Westmead.
He died later in the day.
His mother, stepfather and two young siblings, reportedly aged one and seven, were not injured but his mother was “extremely distressed”, Det Chief Insp Brett said.
He told reporters the attacker wore a face covering.
Police said earlier the attacker may still be armed and described him as being 18 to 20 years old with a thin build.

US Doctor Nagarwala faces genital mutilation charges on girls
An American emergency room doctor faces charges of female genital mutilation on girls between the ages of six and eight.
Jumana Nagarwala, 44, of Northville, Michigan, is accused of carrying out the procedure for 12 years from a medical office in Livonia, Michigan.
Prosecutors said some of Nagarwala’s alleged victims came from outside the state and were warned not to talk about what had happened to them.
Acting Assistant Attorney General Kenneth Blanco said the doctor was alleged to have performed “horrifying acts of brutality on the most vulnerable victims”.
He added: “The Department of Justice is committed to stopping female genital mutilation in this country, and will use the full power of the law to ensure that no girls suffer such physical and emotional abuse.”
Acting US Attorney Daniel Lemisch added: “The practice has no place in modern society and those who perform FGM on minors will be held accountable under federal law.”

In an hourlong news conference that touched on race, policing and airline manners, a lawyer for the passenger dragged off a United flight on Sunday listed his client’s injuries: a broken nose, a concussion, two knocked-out teeth and sinus problems that may require reconstructive surgery.
“For a long time, airlines, United in particular, have bullied us,” the lawyer, Thomas A. Demetrio, said Thursday in downtown Chicago.
“Are we going to just continue to be treated like cattle — bullied, rude treatment?” asked Mr. Demetrio, who placed the blame for his client’s injuries on a “culture of disrespect” at United Airlines and overly aggressive tactics from Chicago aviation police officers. He said a lawsuit was likely.
The video of Dr. David Dao, 69, of Kentucky, being bloodied as he was pulled off the flight in order to make room for four United employees has ignited conversation and outrage around the world. The three Chicago aviation police officers who removed Dr. Dao from the plane have been placed on administrative leave.
4-year-old girl narrowly escapes gunfire at Arizona barbershop
Video released by police show a little girl narrowly escaping gunfire during a recent shooting in Arizona.
Surveillance footage from inside the Paisanos Barber Shop at a strip mall in Chandler captured the terrifying moment.
The video, released by the Chandler Police Department on Wednesday, shows the 4-year-old girl dancing around the shop. She then sits down in a chair against a window facing the street. That’s when gunfire erupts, shattering the window behind her as bullets dart past the girl’s head.
The girl is then seen running away from the window and out of the camera frame.
Police said two rounds came through the glass.
The girl was injured by glass debris but was not shot in the incident, according to ABC affiliate KNXV.
Police said two suspects have been arrested in the case, KNXV reported.

Fire officials work to rescue 20 people stuck on stalled roller coaster at Maryland Six Flags
Emergency responders rescued 24 people stuck on a stalled roller coaster at Six Flags America in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, fire officials said Thursday.
Prince George‘s County Fire and EMS Department Chief Spokesperson Mark Brady said the last riders were brought down shortly after 9 p.m.
