Foxtel ‘devastated’ after Game Of Thrones blunder

WINTER finally arrived for Game of Thrones fans as the greatly-anticipated season 7 was released on Monday.

But it didn’t arrive for everyone it seems.

Foxtel NOW was a cheap option for fans to legally watch the latest season, without needing a 12-month Foxtel contract.

Their $15 per month ‘pop pack’ service promised to stream every episode at 11am, with an encore playing at 8:30pm.

But the service appeared to experience problems due to “unprecedented demand”, angering thousands of people across Australia.

Foxtel has released a statement responding to the backlash.

“We are devastated that due to unprecedented demand, we are experiencing problems with our online services this evening.”

“We can assure you that we are doing everything we can to resolve these problems,” Foxtel responded.

The company assures customers will be able to watch the Game of Thrones episode using the On-Demand features of their service as soon as the issue is resolved.
