Man dies, two injured in shooting at Keysborough in Melbourne’s south-east

A man has died and two others are in hospital after a shooting in Melbourne’s south-east.

Police said three men in their 20s were in a house on Church Road in Keysborough when a number of shots were fired at the property shortly before 10:00pm on Tuesday.

One man was shot in the chest, and was in cardiac arrest when paramedics arrived.

He could not be revived.

The other two men were shot in the arm and leg.

They were taken to hospital in stable conditions.

Police are still hunting for the person who fired the shots.

‘There was just a huge bang, bang’

Residents claim up to a dozen shots were fired.

A neighbour who heard the shooting said she was scared for her life.

“All of a sudden there was just a huge bang, bang,” she said.

Another neighbour, Vahid Sourghalr, said the street was mostly home to families.

“We [heard] about 10 shots, there was five — boom, boom, boom — then a big one, then a big one,” he said.

“Then maybe a couple of minutes later we heard another five to six shots. Then we heard the ambulance and the police coming.”

The Homicide Squad are on the scene investigating.

Police have called on any witnesses to come forward.
